German Senior Care Boost: Ebersberg Day Event and Caritas Daycare

The Ebersberg district office in Bavaria organized a Senior Day on 2 October 2024, offering a guided tour of a barrier‑free competence centre for housing, cooking, sleeping and hygiene, as well as free online seminars on advance directives, "Swedish Death Cleaning", and crime‑prevention advice from the local police.

In Vossenack, North‑Rhine Westphalia, the Caritas Düren‑Jülich association broke ground on a new day‑care centre, St. Klara, with an investment of about €1.25 million. The facility, slated for completion in summer 2027, will accommodate 15 seniors, feature barrier‑free rooms, a large terrace and programs for movement and social interaction, aiming to extend independent living for older residents and relieve family caregivers.
