German seniors targeted by fraud schemes in Nuremberg and Bergkamen

In Nuremberg, a man and a woman posing as police officers stole a chest containing gold and silver jewellery worth several thousand euros from an elderly resident after a deceptive phone call. Police have launched an investigation and are seeking witnesses.

In Bergkamen, a 77‑year‑old woman was approached by an unknown female who displayed apparent gold jewellery, attempted to sell it, and tried to steal a ring from the senior’s finger. The suspect fled in a grey compact car; police are conducting a search for the woman and any accomplices and have asked the public for information.
