German sports: Kickers Emden suffer derby loss and EC Bad Nauheim fall in hockey

In regional German sports, Kickers Emden suffered a 0-4 derby defeat against VfB Oldenburg. Despite goalkeeper Luca Petzold’s efforts, the team struggled following controversial red cards issued to Peer Mahncke and Fabian Herbst. Kickers Emden faces further challenges in their upcoming match against Phönix Lübeck, as they will be missing four key players due to suspensions, injuries, and personal commitments.

In ice hockey, EC Bad Nauheim narrowly lost 1-2 to Eispiraten Crimmitschau. Although Bad Nauheim maintained competitive play and recorded 17 shots compared to 6 for their opponents, they struggled with finishing and hit the post multiple times. Despite successful penalty killing during shorthanded situations, the team could not overcome the deficit.
