German sports results: Kölner Haie defeat Straubing Tigers and PS Karlsruhe LIONS beat Tigers Tübingen

In German ice hockey, the Kölner Haie defeated the Straubing Tigers with a score of 5:3 at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm. Despite a late push from the Tigers through goals by Loibl, J. C. Beaudin, and Green to bring the score to 3:4, they were unable to equalize. The Tigers entered the match in second place in the PENNY DEL, while the Kölner Haie arrived in seventh place.

In basketball, the PS Karlsruhe LIONS secured an 87:83 victory over Tigers Tübingen in an overtime thriller. Tübingen faced a significant 17-point deficit early in the game but fought back to force overtime after a late offensive foul by Jesse “Jason” Ani prevented a regulation win. Kilian Binapfl led the scoring for Karlsruhe with 22 points, while Isaac Haney and Tim Smith each scored 20 for Tübingen.
