German sports updates: Brombachsee Triathlon date set and Biathlon Championships results

The third Brombachsee Triathlon has been scheduled for September 18 and 19, 2027, at the Seezentrum Allmannsdorf. Following the success of previous editions, registration for the event is set to open on November 11, 2026. The competition features a middle-distance format including a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run.

In biathlon news, the German Championships were held from September 4 to 6 at the Notschrei Nordic-Center in Todtnau. Janina Hettich-Walz dominated the women's competitions, winning all three events to achieve a hat trick. In the men's category, Philipp Horn won the short individual and the pursuit, while Franz Schaser secured his first German championship title in the sprint.
