German sports‑streaming services Dyn and DAZN increase subscription fees
The German streaming platform Dyn announced a new price structure for the 2024‑25 season starting in August. Its "All Sports" package will rise to €29.50 per month (up €10 from the previous €19.50) and €24.50 per month for a yearly subscription. Customers can also choose single‑sport packages for basketball, volleyball, table tennis or hockey at the former €19.50 monthly / €14.50 yearly rates. Separately, the ten‑year anniversary of DAZN highlighted how its pricing has changed since its 2016 launch with a €9.99‑per‑month offer. After several increases, the top‑level "Unlimited" package now costs €44.99 per month. DAZN also introduced a tiered package model (World, Super Sports, Unlimited) and reported its first profit in Germany. The consumer watchdog Verbraucherzentrale has filed a class‑action lawsuit claiming the 2021‑2022 price hikes were illegal for existing contracts.
