German talk shows address home care and upcoming broadcasts

The ARD talk show ‘Hart aber fair’, hosted by Louis Klamroth, will focus on the challenges of home care on October 26, 2026. The episode, titled ‘Pflege zu Hause: Lässt die Politik Angehörige allein?’, aims to discuss whether political measures are sufficient for the approximately ten million relatives providing care in Germany. With over six million people in the country requiring care and numbers rising, the program will feature guests including Petra Köpping, a state minister from Saxony, and health politician Hendrik Streeck.

The broadcast will also follow a documentary titled ‘Und wer fragt nach mir? Pflegende Angehörige am Rande der Erschöpfung’, which examines the exhaustion faced by those caring for loved ones. Other participants include journalist Caren Miosga, community nurse Dilek Erusta, and author Katarina Schickling.

Separately, the ZDF talk show ‘Markus Lanz’ is scheduled for broadcast on October 27, 2026, at 23:45. While specific guests for this session have not yet been announced, the program continues its regular schedule of discussing political, scientific, and cultural topics.
