German teams win Challenge 2026 in North Macedonia free flight competition
German teams achieved significant success at the Senior European Championship and the parallel Junior World Championship in free flight model aviation, held in Prilep, North Macedonia.
The German senior team won the ‘Challenge 2026’, making them the top-ranked team in Europe in the overall team standings. Notable individual and team achievements for Germany included:
• F1B Rubber Motor Class: Bernhard Schwendemann, Andreas Gey, Lara Horak, and Stanislav Babakaev secured the silver medal in the team standings. Lara Horak also won the European title in the women’s category. • F1Q Electric Class: André Seifert, Jens Stemmler, Paul Seren, and Daniela Seren earned silver in the team standings, while André Seifert took bronze in the individual category. • F1C Class: Claus-Peter Wächtler, Daniel Seifert, and Philipp Seifert won the bronze medal in the team standings.
The Junior World Championship featured 120 participants from 17 different countries.
