German theaters announce upcoming productions of Summer Snow and Art

Several theatrical productions are scheduled for upcoming seasons in Germany.

At the Stadttheater, Ella Rothschild will premiere ‘Summer Snow’ on October 24, 2026. The piece features choreography, illustration, and sound design by Rothschild, with music by Gershon Waiserfirer. The production explores a surreal, grotesque world centered on a character who carries their home and belongings everywhere, examining how personal baggage influences human behavior and group dynamics.

Additionally, the Landestheater Dinkelsbühl will open its autumn/winter season on October 10, 2026, with a production of ‘Art’ by Yasmina Reza. Directed by Jasmin Meindl, the comedy follows three friends—played by Thomas Fritsche, Andreas Peteratzinger, and Dirk Waanders—whose friendship is tested by a dispute over a modern painting. The play uses humor to explore themes of tolerance, conflict, and the definition of art.
