German theaters host new feminist and literary productions

The Theater Lahnstein will host actress Alexandra Kamp on October 17 for ‘This is a man’s world’, a feminist burlesque performance. Based on Noémie de Lattre’s successful French play ‘Féministe pour Homme’, the production uses humor, cabaret, and stand-up to examine gender roles, stereotypes, and femininity.

In Neustrelitz, director Karin Herrmann premiered ‘Der Hals der Giraffe’ at the Landestheater. Adapted from a monologue by Inge Lohmark and based on a novel by Judith Schalansky, the play features a seven-person cast. The production received significant acclaim from the audience during its premiere.
