German thrash band Exumer releases new single “Allocated Savagery”
German thrash veterans Exumer have issued the single “Allocated Savagery,” taken from their forthcoming album Death Mask Messiah, which is slated for release on August 28 via Metal Blade Records. The track marks the band’s first studio output in seven years and commemorates the 30‑year anniversary of the 1993 Waco, Texas standoff, using the event to explore themes of misinformation, cultural division and recent US political turbulence.
Death Mask Messiah was recorded between December 2025 and January 2026 and features a new rhythm section – drummer Jerome Reil and bassist Alex Voss. Production was handled by Dominic Paraskevopoulos, with mixing and mastering by Arthur Rizk. Vocalist Mem V. Stein said the song “captures the intensity of the confrontation with the ATF while reflecting on themes that still resonate today.” The band views the release as part of a broader thrash renaissance alongside peers such as Exodus and Kreator.
