German thrash metal band Godslave releases self-titled album

The Saarbrücken-based thrash metal band Godslave has released their seventh studio album, also titled ‘Godslave’. This self-titled release follows a period of significant activity for the group, including the 2024 release of their band documentary ‘Hinter der Kulisse – Ein Blick in die Seele einer Metal-Band’ and the 2025 cover album ‘Champions’.

In an interview, guitarist Manuel ‘Manni’ Zewe noted that the workflows established during the production of the ‘Champions’ cover album influenced the pre-production of the new record. The band’s name is intended to represent the concept that every individual is a slave to some metaphorical ‘god’ or entity to which they unconditionally submit.
