German Tomato Salad and Watermelon Sorbet Recipes for Summer

A German‑style tomato salad combines ripe tomatoes with fresh basil, parsley and dill, dressed in olive oil, apple‑cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. The recipe calls for 700 g tomatoes, a small onion, and specified herb amounts, and is served as a side dish for grilled meats or with bread.

A watermelon sorbet uses only one main ingredient: a fully ripe watermelon. Cubed flesh is frozen, then blended until smooth, producing a natural, sugar‑free dessert suitable for hot weather. The method requires no ice‑cream maker and can be stored in the freezer for up to two weeks.
