German Tourist Office Highlights Elevated Attractions for GCC Visitors

The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) is promoting a series of elevated attractions across Germany to appeal to travellers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The campaign emphasizes panoramic viewpoints, treetop walkways and suspension bridges that can be reached by cable car, public transport or a short walk, allowing families, couples and groups to enjoy outdoor experiences without specialist equipment.

Featured sites include the Zugspitze and AlpspiX viewing platform in Bavaria, the historic Bastei Bridge in Saxon Switzerland, the Skywalk Königsstuhl on Rügen Island, and the Saarschleife Treetop Walk in Saarland. The GNTO highlights Germany’s mild summer climate, diverse landscapes—from Alpine peaks to Baltic coastlines—and the ease of integrating these attractions into broader itineraries that combine cities, cultural landmarks and regional destinations.
