Hamburg Sommerdom adds 30‑metre ‘Hypnotizer’ swing ride for 2026 season

Germany’s towns are hosting a series of summer festivals and markets in July‑August 2026. In Hamburg, the Sommerdom on the Heiligengeistfeld will feature the debut of a 30‑metre high swing called “Hypnotizer,” expanding the fair to five weeks. The event will host 254 attractions, including two wild‑water rides and extended opening hours.

Elsewhere, Lower Saxony will stage several medieval markets in Bassum, Bückeburg and surrounding venues, offering sword fights, fire shows and live music. Wiehe’s 334th Bartholomäusmarkt runs 14‑16 August with concerts, festivals and traditional food. Neumarkt’s Jura‑Volksfest (7‑14 August) includes a flag‑football tournament, a grand parade, family afternoons and special programs for people with disabilities and seniors. Additional local events include summer festivals in Kranichfeld, Ludwigsfelde, and community gatherings in Horperath and Konstanz, all featuring music, food stalls and family‑friendly activities.
