German towns launch new playgrounds with community and EU support

A donation of €150,000 from the charity Radio 7 Drachenkinder enabled the opening of a new playground at the Rehabilitation Clinic for Children and Adolescents in Wangen, providing a dedicated space for patients and families.

The city of Göttingen is renovating the Resedaweg playground in the Nikolausberg district, with children participating in an online vote to select preferred designs and equipment.

Bad Kissingen inaugurated the "Plätzle" leisure area near the Garitzer roundabout, featuring a pumptrack and other facilities. The project cost about €650,000, with €250,000 supplied through the EU‑funded LEADER programme.

Burglengenfeld opened a modern playground on the Galgenberg, built for roughly €60,000 and complemented by a nearby movement course for seniors and all ages.
