German towns Oberissigheim and Unterföhring hold community festivals
The municipality of Oberissigheim organized the annual "Krebsbach in Flammen" festival from July 31 to August 2, featuring open‑air concerts, a bingo evening, a fireworks display, a family program with a duck‑racing competition, and food and entertainment stalls. Proceeds from the duck‑racing entry fees were earmarked for projects at the local Katharina‑von‑Bora school.
In Unterföhring, the second "Inklusionstag" (Inclusion Day) took place on July 26 at the Bürgerhaus and its forecourt. The event offered inclusive activities such as music and dance performances, information booths, and an awards ceremony where Mayor Florian Klietsch presented the Inklusionspreis. Guest "Mrs Oberbayern" Minka Omeragic, who uses a prosthetic leg, attended.
