German towns Windischeschenbach and Bad Wörishofen showcase local music concerts
Windischeschenbach held the second Serenade of the season in its parish garden despite cool weather. The event, themed “Stimmungsvolle Lieder und Melodien – Einheimische Chöre und Blaskapellen,” featured the town band, the Neuhauser Boum, the Liederkranz Windischeschenbach, the Männergesangsverein Neuhaus and the Neuhaus church choir, with Mayor Karlheinz Budnik greeting the audience.
In Bad Wörishofen, an eight‑day series of summer concerts took place at the Kurhaus and its forecourt. Local ensembles, including the Irmgard‑Seefried music school, youth brass and string groups, the Posaunenchor of the Evangelical Erlöserkirche and various dance groups, performed. A planned jazz big‑band was cancelled after a hailstorm, but the program continued with a mix of traditional folk, choral and youth performances, drawing large crowds.
Both towns highlighted community participation and the role of local music schools and choirs in sustaining regional cultural life.
