German TV Chef Johann Lafer Shows Positive Response to Lymph Cancer Treatment

Television chef Johann Lafer was diagnosed with lymph‑node (lymph) cancer after enlarged lymph nodes were discovered about two and a half years ago. Following growth of the nodes, doctors began a chemotherapy regimen that is expected to last six to nine months. His wife, Silvia Lafer, says the treatment is working: the lymphoma masses have shrunk by roughly half and Johann remains unusually active, even more so than before the diagnosis.
