German TV schedule highlights for early August 2026

Several German broadcasters announced their programming for the first week of August 2026. ZDF will air the drama film "Arthur der Große" on 1 August at 20:15, a true‑story about a dog in the Dominican Republic starring Mark Wahlberg. The ZDF also presents the crime series "Tatort: Was ihr nicht seht" on 2 August at 20:15.

ZDF’s quiz show "Der Quiz‑Champion" returns on 8 August, hosted by Johannes B. Kerner, with guests including former swimmer Franziska van Almsick and actor Axel Milberg. RTL2 airs the mystery series "X‑Factor: Das Unfassbare" on 2 August, featuring Jonathan Frakes presenting odd stories.
