German villages celebrate traditional Kirmes festivals

Local communities in Germany recently held traditional Kirmes festivals. In Langenscheid, the four-day event featured musical performances by DJ Q and the band ‘Die Weiltaler’, a ceremonial tree raising, and a parade with themed floats.

In Kleinsassen, the community celebrated the 40th anniversary of its Zeltkirmes. The festivities included 17 Kirmes couples and a new children's Kirmes. Despite rain affecting the traditional Sunday dance, the event continued inside a festival tent with performances by ‘Dirty Mind’, DJ Erwin, and Enrico Weider.
