The selection for the 78th German Wine Majesty will take place in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, featuring a preliminary round and a final competition. Ten female candidates and one male candidate, representing regional wine majesties from nearly all German wine-growing regions, will compete for the title.
SWR will provide live television coverage of the event and host introductory segments for candidates from Rhineland-Palatinate. These segments will visit candidates in their home regions, including Janina Mehr in Rheinbreitbach, Teresa Oster in Kobern-Gondorf, Kathrin Knierim in Osthofen, Anna Antonia Cölsch in Deidesheim, and Felix Lüdenbach in Heimersheim an der Ahr. While most regions are represented, the Saxony and Nahe regions will not have candidates this year.
