German wish‑fulfillment initiatives help families and terminally ill

The Landratsamt in Germany revived its annual Christmas wish‑tree campaign, overseen by Landrat Robert Niedergesäß. About 92 wishes, each worth roughly €25, are displayed for families, children and seniors to claim. Contributions can be dropped off by 11 December and will be handed over at the office during regular opening hours.

Separately, the Arbeiter‑Samariter‑Bund (ASB) wishes‑wagon program arranged a free, fully equipped ride for a seriously ill man named Gregor. He and two friends travelled in a mint‑green VW Bulli to the railway museum in Nuremberg, accompanied by volunteer staff and a safety car. The service is donation‑funded and provides medical equipment, catering and companionship for terminally ill participants.
