German women’s amateur clubs clinch historic high finish and chase promotion spots

Kickers Offenbach’s women’s team sealed a 3‑0 victory over SV 67 Weinberg to finish third in the Regionalliga Süd, the highest league position in the club’s history. Coach Johannes Munkelt hailed the result as “an incredible success” after a season plagued by squad shortages.

In the Hessenliga, SG Egelsbach secured its place for another season by drawing 2‑2 with SG Bornheim/GW, a result the club’s trainer described as “fair and decisive for class retention”.

Meanwhile, SC Unterpfaffenhofen, known as the Upfer Buam, kept promotion hopes alive with a 2‑0 away win at Oberweikertshofens reserve. The side now must win its final match against TSV Oberalting to clinch a promotion‑relegation spot, with coach Daniel Stapfer noting, “Now we have a real end‑game in Deisenhofen”.
