German women's football clubs Schalke and Westfalia Dortmund secure promotion

Schalke 04’s women’s team capped their season with a 6‑0 victory over SVKT 07 Minden, earning promotion from the Westfalenliga to the Regionalliga West. The club will face new rivals such as Borussia Dortmund’s women, including national star Alexandra Popp, in the higher division.
