German and Austrian youth clubs wrap up 2025/26 season with titles and celebrations

A series of local sporting events marked the close of the 2025/26 season in Germany and Austria. In Emmendingen, the FC Emmendingen B1 squad held a season‑ending party on 26 June after earning promotion to the Verbandsliga, featuring a karting outing, a grill dinner and a group viewing of the France‑Norway World Cup match. The club’s E‑Junior team travelled to the Saale Cup mini‑World Cup in Jena (19‑21 June), representing Argentina among 127 teams from across Germany and neighbouring countries, and enjoyed a visit from football influencer My Footies.

In triathlon, SC Neubrandenburg’s Polly Vierhufe captured her third win at the Germany Cup for youth athletes in Jena despite near‑40 °C heat, also securing the overall youth B girls title.

Leipzig’s chess community announced its season‑ending programme, including youth tournaments and a summer festival, while the Berlin chess club achieved a historic second place at the German Blitz Team Championship in Ettlingen.

The DTU Youth Triathlon Cup finale in Jena saw Bavarian athletes claim three individual German titles, gold in the mixed‑team relay, and qualify for the European Championships and the Youth Olympic Games.

In Austria, the Perg / Windhaag football partnership celebrated its season with Lisa Kloibhofer named top scorer (23 goals) and the men’s reserve side winning the 2nd‑class reserve title, while the U14 team secured a league championship.
