German youth riders lead dressage at European Eventing Championships

German youth equestrian teams have taken the lead in both the Junior and Young Rider categories following the dressage phase of the European Eventing Championships in Segersjö, Sweden.

In the Junior division, the German team led by Frank Ostholt holds the top position ahead of Great Britain and Ireland. In the individual standings, Teresa Leowald leads with DJ Continus, followed closely by Iliane Hannalisa Hein on Akeby’s Quemiro Silla. Other notable German competitors include Milla Staade, Pia Sophie Schreiber, Lukas Wilhelm Sühling, and Jona Isabell Heine.

The Young Rider category also features a German lead, with Carl Voigt and Mathies Rüder holding a narrow one-tenth of a point margin between them. The German team in this category currently sits ahead of Great Britain and Belgium. The riders must now maintain these positions through the cross-country and jumping phases.
