German‑Spanish School Exchange Visits Valencia and Schopfheim in 2026

Students from the Ostendorfer‑Gymnasium travelled to Valencia from 7‑11 July 2026. Hosted by Spanish families, they attended language classes, toured the historic old town, the City of Arts and Sciences, the beach at Malvarrosa and the science museum, and enjoyed local foods such as horchata. The group returned to Nuremberg two hours later than scheduled.

Later, from 14‑21 June 2026, the Theodor‑Heuss‑Gymnasium in Schopfheim hosted Spanish pupils from IES Ramón Llull to mark the 20‑year anniversary of their Erasmus‑supported partnership. The week focused on the theme of inclusion, with joint activities that compared accessibility in both countries, visits to a local inclusive work site, an excursion to Basel and a hike to the Hasenhorn. The students produced audio recordings reflecting on their experiences.
