Germany and Austria Youth Outdoor Training Camps Scheduled for 2026

A sailing training camp organized by Seglerverein Leipzig took place from 13‑16 May 2026 at the Geierswalder See in Germany. Around 40 children and youths participated in four groups, receiving instruction from coaches Til and Karla. The program included basic sailing, wind‑reverse sailing, regattas with 29‑ and 420‑class boats and daily meals, with participants staying in tents on the lakeside campsite.

An international hiking week, IPA‑Wanderwoche 2026, was held from 14‑20 June 2026 in the Nassfeld area of Austria. The event featured daily breakfasts, guided hikes to locations such as the Winkelalm and Rattendorfer Alm, cultural activities like folk dancing and a casino evening, and a traditional pick‑nick on the mountain. Participants gathered at the Hotel Gartnerkofel, and the programme included visits to a butterfly house and a prosciutto factory, with opportunities for networking among international attendees.
