Germany and Croatia win FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers matches
In the second phase of the FIBA World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers, Germany and Croatia secured decisive victories in Group K.
Germany defeated the Netherlands 99-83, led by Dennis Schröder, who recorded 23 points, six assists, and two steals with perfect shooting from two-point range and the free-throw line. Oscar da Silva added 15 points, while Isaac Bonga contributed 13. Yannick Franke scored 24 points for the Netherlands, including six three-pointers.
Croatia delivered a more dominant performance, beating Latvia 115-80. Mario Hezonja led the scoring with 28 points and seven assists, shooting perfectly from two-point range. Karlo Matković and Luka Božić each added 17 points. Latvia's Rihards Lomažs scored 23 points in the loss.
Both Germany and Croatia now hold 6-1 records in Group K. Meanwhile, Poland remains undefeated at 7-0 following a victory over Israel, led by Mateusz Ponitka's 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists.
