Germany: Burglaries target gaming machines in Nettetal and Bergneustadt

Police in Germany are investigating two separate burglaries targeting gaming establishments in North Rhine-Westphalia.

In Nettetal-Breyell, an intruder broke into a gaming hall on Josefstraße around 04:20 on August 16, 2026. The suspect, described as a male wearing black clothing and a mask, broke into at least four slot machines and stole cash cassettes. Authorities are currently analyzing video footage to identify the perpetrator.

In Bergneustadt, a burglary occurred at a bowling center on August 13, 2026, around 02:00. An unknown individual gained access to the premises and broke into several slot machines, stealing an undetermined amount of money from the coin compartments. Video surveillance captured a slender male wearing a motorcycle helmet and a backpack leaving the building at approximately 02:20. The method of entry remains under investigation.
