Germany donates forensic drug recovery stations to Dominican Republic

The German Embassy has formally donated three Drugloo Ranger forensic stations to the Dominican Republic’s National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD). These specialized narcotic recovery stations are designed to be deployed at major airport terminals to combat international drug trafficking.

The technology is specifically intended to optimize the recovery of drug capsules and packets ingested by individuals used by criminal networks to transport narcotics internally. Unlike conventional sanitary methods, these stations hermetically isolate biological material and feature automated retention grids, pressure washing, disinfection processes, and integrated industrial sleeves.

This equipment allows authorities to secure evidence hygienically and effectively, preserving the chain of custody for judicial proceedings without compromising the physical health of officers. The donation was presented by Stephan Wiebach, a liaison officer from the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), to Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa, president of the DNCD.
