Germany: Drug offenses and trafficking cases involving crystal meth

Authorities in Germany have addressed two separate drug-related incidents involving crystal meth.

In Merkendorf, police intercepted a 38-year-old woman driving a BMW during a traffic stop. After exhibiting signs of drug impairment and initially refusing a test, the driver admitted to recent crystal meth consumption. Officers discovered a small amount of the substance in a metal tin within her handbag, along with six bags containing an unidentified brown substance that alerted drug-sniffing dogs. Additionally, the vehicle was found to have dangerously worn front tires.

In a separate legal proceeding in Amberg, a 57-year-old woman appeared in court regarding drug trafficking. The woman, who acted as both a consumer and a dealer, was found to have supplied five grams of crystal meth to an individual in Amberg on 109 proven occasions. As a result, she has been ordered to pay 28,000 euros in compensation to the state treasury.
