Lidl, Aldi, Netto frozen berries recall over Norovirus and other German food safety alerts
German retailers Lidl, Aldi, Netto and the manufacturer Jütra Tiefkühlkost GmbH & Co. KG have expanded a recall of the frozen berry mix “Freshona Bio Beerenmischung” after testing suggested possible contamination with Norovirus. The recall covers specific 300‑gram packs with best‑before dates in early 2028 sold in 13 German states. Consumers are advised not to eat the product and may return it for a full refund.
A separate recall concerns Lima NV’s salted rice wafers (Lima Reiswaffeln) after elevated levels of the carcinogenic mycotoxin aflatoxin B1 were detected. The affected batches carry a best‑before date of 13 Nov 2026. Buyers should discard the wafers and can seek reimbursement.
Rossmann is also recalling its “Genuss Plus Kids Fruchtchips Apfel” snack for children after Salmonella was found in one batch. The product, with a best‑before date of 24 Feb 2027, poses a health risk especially to young children and the elderly. The company urges consumers to keep the snack out of reach of children and to return it for a refund.
