Germany, France, and UK offer negotiations to Iran over nuclear program

Germany, France, and the United Kingdom have expressed readiness to enter negotiations with Iran regarding its nuclear program. The objective of these three European powers is to reach an agreement that prevents Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons while creating conditions for regional de-escalation.

These statements were made during a ministerial meeting in Istanbul involving representatives from eight nations, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Egypt. The participating countries collectively opposed any new military attacks against Iran, emphasizing that diplomacy remains the only sustainable path forward.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned that new military strikes could broaden the existing conflict. Additionally, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot highlighted the risk of potential spikes in oil prices resulting from further escalation. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul also called for enhanced defense security for Saudi Arabia and Yemen, alongside a resumption of meaningful dialogue with the Houthis.
