Several bat‑night events are scheduled across Germany in August 2026, inviting families and nature enthusiasts to observe nocturnal bats in guided night tours.

At the Zoo Rostock on 8 August, the zoo and NABU Mittleres Mecklenburg organise a free bat‑night with ultrasound detectors and expert talks about bat ecology and protection. In Reetz, the Naturwacht Brandenburg and the Sensthof‑Stiftung host a free ranger tour on 15 August, featuring bat‑detectors, a presentation by biologist Dr. Beatrix Wuntke and a chance to build bat boxes.

The Kakushöhle near Mechernich‑Dreimühlen offers two bat‑night evenings on 15 and 21 August, run by Markus Thies of the local bat‑protection group. Admission is €7 for adults and €4 for children, with net‑catching, acoustic monitoring and a focus on breeding behaviour.
