Germany hosts vocational orientation events for students
Various vocational orientation events in Germany are providing students with opportunities to explore science, technology, and professional career paths.
At the IdeenExpo 2026 in Hannover, approximately 330 companies, universities, and institutions presented on a 100,000 square meter exhibition area. The event, which focused on natural sciences and technology, featured interactive stations and was attended by high-profile guests including Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Lower Saxony Prime Minister Olaf Lies. Participating entities included Alstom, Continental, and the Bundeswehr.
Additionally, the 22nd Schwalm-Eder apprenticeship fair is scheduled for September 19, 2026, in Borken. The event will host over 100 exhibitors from the crafts, industry, service, and administrative sectors. Designed for students, young adults, and parents, the fair offers practical demonstrations with equipment such as ambulances and agricultural machinery, alongside advisory services from the Employment Agency and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Kassel-Marburg.
