Germany Motorhome Fire on A3 and Austria Car Rolls Into Pool

On Tuesday morning a 77‑year‑old driver of a motorhome traveling southbound on Germany’s A3 highway between Rohrbrunn and Marktheidenfeld experienced a fire. He stopped the vehicle on the hard shoulder, escaped, suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital. The blaze required the highway to be closed in both directions for about an hour while fire crews extinguished the fire and investigators began probing the cause.

In Fels am Wagram, Austria, a man’s car unexpectedly moved forward through his driveway and entered a garden swimming pool. Firefighters employed a winch and an “E‑Plug” device to deactivate the electric drive, then lifted the vehicle with a crane and returned it to the driver, who was unharmed.
