These letters are intended to confirm whether the recipients still meet the requirements for continued payments, such as being in school, university, or vocational training. Failure to provide necessary documentation may result in the cessation of benefits.

In a significant legal ruling, the State Social Court of Baden-Württemberg upheld a decision preventing the Deutsche Rentenversicherung from reclaiming nearly 19,600 euros from a widow.
