Germany regional autumn holiday programs announced for children

Various regional programs have been announced for the 2026 autumn holidays in Germany, specifically targeting children and adolescents in Saxony and Saarland.

In Saxony, activities running from October 10 to October 25 include geological explorations at the Terra Mineralia museum in Freiberg, which features themes related to the game ‘Minecraft’. Other regional offerings include historical exhibitions at the Dresden City Museum regarding GDR architecture, as well as creative and puzzle-solving programs in Leipzig, Chemnitz, and Zwickau.

In Saarland, holiday programs include activities such as self-defense courses, cooking workshops, and digital media sessions. In Saarbrücken, the Meiersdel adventure playground will host events for children aged six and up, concluding with a traditional autumn meal. Additionally, the KuBa cultural center offers ceramic and painting workshops for teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18.
