Germany reports multiple residential burglaries in July 2026

Police in Unna, North Rhine‑Westphalia, reported a break‑in at a two‑family house on the night of 10‑11 July 2026. Thieves entered through a window and stole jewelry. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Unna police.

In Hesse, two separate burglaries occurred between 8‑9 July 2026. In Bad Soden am Taunus, intruders forced a window to gain entry to a house on Kronberger Straße and stole various valuables. In Flörsheim, suspects climbed a metal fence, entered through a cellar window, forced open a safe and fled with the contents. The regional criminal police are soliciting tips via the number (06192) 20790.

The Unna release also noted a rise in burglary cases in Nordrhein‑Westphalia, with recorded incidents increasing from 23,528 in 2022 to 27,061 in 2023.
