Germany reports two separate fire incidents injuring a woman and damaging a home

On 31 July, unknown perpetrators set a wooden bench ablaze in front of a residential building in the Dotzheim district of Wiesbaden. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters, preventing damage to the structure, but soot stained the façade. Police are investigating the arson and have appealed for witnesses.

On 2 August, a 30‑year‑old woman in Olsberg suffered serious injuries while attempting to remove a burning powerbank from her apartment. The incident left two people hurt and rendered an entire floor temporarily uninhabitable. Firefighters used breathing apparatuses to control the blaze, and authorities are examining the cause of the battery fire.
