Ontario infant survives after 90 percent of intestine is removed

An eight-week-old baby in Ontario, Canada, survived after undergoing three emergency operations to remove 90 percent of his intestine. The infant, named Levi, was diagnosed with a rare condition that has left him dependent on vital medical care.

His mother, Jenny Wilson, noticed subtle changes in his behavior, including unusual fatigue, decreased milk consumption, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort. These symptoms led to the diagnosis and subsequent life-saving surgeries.
