Germany roadworks cause various traffic disruptions
Various road construction projects and infrastructure maintenance works are causing traffic disruptions across different regions in Germany.
In the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district, several roads are facing restrictions. These include partial closures on the B19 between Fambach and Breitungen, as well as various state roads (L-roads) due to fiber optic expansion, lighting mast installation, and roadwork. Specific locations affected include Benshausen, Trusetal, Schnellbach, Kleinschmalkalden, and Schwarza. Additionally, a partial closure is in place on the B19 near Walldorf for emergency bridge stabilization.
In the Zweibrücken area, the L 465 state road is completely closed between Rosenkopf and Martinshöhe for pavement renewal. The project involves resurfacing the western part of the village bypass. Local officials have noted that while the construction complicates access for local farms and dairy deliveries, coordination is ongoing to manage the impact on residents and businesses.
