Germany Rolls Out Digital Mobility Solutions for Health and Accessibility

A new digital guide released in London combines mobility training with mental techniques, offering three‑minute daily stretching routines designed to enhance flexibility and reduce tension for everyday use. The guide emphasizes body awareness, proper technique, and consistent practice to improve overall well‑being.

In Germany, researchers at Technische Universität Chemnitz are developing the ROLL‑I project, an automated mapping system that gathers geodata from sensor kits mounted on wheelchairs. Funded with €522,000 from the European Regional Development Fund and the Free State of Saxony through December 2027, the tool aims to identify barriers such as uneven surfaces, obstacles, and steep gradients, enabling wheelchair users to plan safer, barrier‑free routes through city centres.
