Berlin hosts 22nd Festival of Lights in October 2026
The 22nd Festival of Lights in Berlin is scheduled to take place from October 9 to October 18, 2026. Under the theme ‘Colours of Love’, the event will feature light and video projections across approximately 40 locations throughout the city.
Key landmarks participating in the festival include the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, Fernsehturm, Potsdamer Platz, and the Olympiastadion. Most installations are expected to be visible daily from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The festival serves as a major autumn tourism driver for the capital, with all open-air attractions being free to the public.
In Hamburg-Fischbek, the Turnverein Fischbek von 1921 e. V. will host a traditional lantern parade through the Fischbeker Heidbrook on October 23, 2026. Accompanied by the Spielmannszug Elstorf, the event aims to bring families and neighbors together for a community autumn evening.
