Germany receives two International Emmy nominations
Two German productions have been nominated for the 54th International Emmy Awards, which will be held in New York this November. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees across 16 categories, featuring entries from 22 different countries.
In the ‘Arts Programming’ category, the German true-crime documentary ‘Der talentierte Mr. F.’ is a contender. The film follows two young filmmakers traveling from Berlin to the United States to track down a thief who stole their project. In the ‘Kids: Animation’ category, the German series ‘Lenas Hof,’ produced by Studio Film Bilder GmbH and ZDF, is nominated alongside entries from Brazil, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
While German productions are represented in these specific categories, they did not receive nominations in the drama series, comedy, television film, or acting categories this year.
