Germany Secures World Cup Knockout Spot After Undav’s Brace Beats Ivory Coast

Substitute striker Deni Undav entered the Group E match against Ivory Coast in the second half and scored two goals, first in the 68th minute and a decisive one in the fourth minute of injury time. Germany held on for a 2–1 victory, finishing top of the group and booking a place in the knockout stage.

Ivory Coast had earlier reduced the deficit when captain Frank Casey scored in the 30th minute, but Germany’s early dominance and Undav’s late contribution ensured they advanced. The win marks Germany’s return to the knockout phase after missing out in 2018 and 2022, while Ivory Coast seeks its first progression beyond the group stage.
