Germany sees spate of burglaries in Wiesbaden and Grettstadt

Police in the German state of Hesse reported a series of break‑ins across the Wiesbaden area, with thieves stealing items worth tens of thousands of euros. The most valuable loss was a farm loader valued at around €18,000 taken from a barn in Igstadt. Other thefts included meat from a supermarket in Breckenheim, four car tyres from an auto‑shop in Amöneburg, a €1,000 high‑voltage cable in Kostheim, and a black Mercedes E220d that vanished from Diesel Street. Vandalism also damaged a former school building in Kostheim.

In Bavaria, a separate burglary was carried out at the Grettstadt primary school near Schweinfurt. The intruders forced entry after school hours and stole several savings books with a combined value exceeding €4,000, while also causing minor property damage. Police in both regions are appealing for witnesses and have increased public information efforts on burglary prevention.
