Germany sees spate of thefts, vehicle fire and fraud in local incidents

Police in the Ludwigslust district of Germany are investigating the theft of a Weidemann wheel loader and a Schoon trailer, along with two grab buckets, from construction sites in Dömitz and Heiddorf. The estimated loss is about €30,000, and investigators suspect the stolen equipment was driven toward Polz early Monday morning.

In Iserlohn, another series of crimes has drawn police attention. A trash‑can fire spread to a Mercedes C‑Class, which burned completely. Simultaneously, a 38‑year‑old suspect was arrested after multiple vehicle break‑ins, and fraudsters targeted several senior citizens, stealing bank cards and money through fake care‑advisor and bank‑employee schemes. Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward for both the thefts and the fraud cases.
